Today, Pueblo residents shared their hopes and resolutions for 2026, expressing personal goals and local optimism for the new year.

Residents have multiple local events planned this week, including the Artful Echoes exhibit (marking its one-year anniversary) at Steel City Art Works today, a river cleanup on Jan.

3, a Dry January tasting and stitching social at The Ethos, and the Kinky Boots musical at Pueblo Memorial Hall on Jan. 8.

Nearly 800 people were hospitalized with the flu last week, a record since 2004, according to the state health department.

Officials warn that cases may rise as people return to work and school after the holidays and advise vaccination and proper precautions.
