- ➤ After a Monday Red Flag Warning, local fire departments added extra crews to patrol the Pueblo area for wildfires. Officials say a quick response is key to catching fires early (the brush truck was used on 133 fires last year, down from 174 in 2024). KOAA
- ➤ A new state law requires new water heaters and furnaces to meet higher-efficiency standards starting in 2026, raising installation costs to about $7K-$10K compared with roughly $5K for older, non-compliant models.
