🎓 Education
Pueblo Community College honored four employees of the year at its Jan.
15 recognition breakfast on campus. The honorees—Max Mabrey, Ray Marquez, Ann Oreskovich, and Jill Young—will be celebrated again at a statewide ceremony this spring.
🌲 Environment
A strong arctic blast will drop temperatures near zero with two to three inches of fluffy snow expected this weekend and very cold feels like readings forecast between Jan.
23 and Jan. 25 in Pueblo. Pet owners are urged to bring their dogs indoors.
🏛️ Government
Mayor Heather Graham launched her Building Back Bessemer initiative to improve the neighborhood.
The plan includes building a new apartment complex + clearing unsafe structures and installing a fence around Ray Aguilera Park using funds from local property taxes.
