- ➤ Pikes Peak United Way discussed its free tax prep assistance program during a live interview — the service aims to help community members get expert guidance ahead of tax deadlines. The program is available to those eligible for free assistance. KKTV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Pueblo & the Urban Renewal Authority are launching the Building Back Bessemer plan to revitalize a blighted block using ARPA funds, target improvements on W. Northern Ave & secure properties. A stakeholder town hall will be held Feb. 19 at Steelworks Center of the West from 6 to 8 p.m. Pueblo Chieftain
- ➤ Colorado's population topped 6,012,561 on July 1, 2025, marking a nearly 1% increase and the highest recorded total. Gov. Jared Polis said the growth supports expanding community investments and new job opportunities statewide, which will benefit areas like Pueblo. KOAA
- ➤ Groundbreaking took place today for a new missile defense complex on historic Pueblo land — officials said the site will soon play a key role in national defense. Additional construction details will follow. KKTV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Sangre de Cristo Community Care in Pueblo partnered today with HomeCare and Hospice of the Valley — keeping its local board intact — to expand hospice and palliative care across rural Colorado. The agreement covers 28,000 square miles to support patients in more communities. Pueblo Chieftain
