Restaurants across Pueblo are preparing for Restaurant Month, a community initiative launched by the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce that runs through March 2 and uses a bingo card system where locals earn a stamp for every ($25) spent to enter a prize drawing.

A water main break shut down a three-mile stretch of Highway 50 just east of Pueblo early Tuesday morning when flooding made the roadway unsafe.

Repairs are underway and drivers are advised to detour via Highway 47 and Paul Harvey Boulevard.

Officials note that record low snowpack (47% in Pueblo versus 55% statewide) could cause the reservoir to drop below average if snowfall does not increase, although strong storage has kept current levels average.

A rise in spring snowfall may help ease future impacts on recreation and water supplies.
