- ➤ Benedict Park earned a $91,000 grant from the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority for lighting upgrades, part of a major renovation. Cleanup will finish soon and construction will start in fall (the park is near St. Mary Catholic Church) as the project moves toward community reopening. Pueblo Chieftain
- ➤ The 10th Annual Pueblo Polar Plunge took place recently at Lake Pueblo State Park to support Special Olympics Colorado (with community members braving icy water). The event celebrated a milestone while uniting locals with a festive spirit. Pueblo Chieftain

- ➤ Pueblo recorded its third-warmest winter ever, with the average temperature this season (38.6°F) 5.7° above normal based on National Weather Service data. February set daily records at 78°F and 83°F while precipitation exceeded normal levels and snowfall was below average. Pueblo Chieftain
