- ➤ The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region is asking local community members to foster kittens at its Pueblo shelter as kitten season is expected earlier than usual. The organization provides training & supplies to support fosters and free up shelter space for other animals. KKTV
- ➤ A fire destroyed three mobile homes earlier today, leaving residents to rebuild from scratch. Neighbors are coming together by offering help and supplies (community support) as recovery efforts begin. KKTV
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Romero's Cafe, known for its award-winning chile, closed its 49-year indoor dining service in February and will now offer catering with Wednesday pick-ups for chile, salsa, and breakfast burritos (keeping its legacy alive). Pueblo Chieftain

- ➤ Joe Arrigo, president of the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of North America, was named Italian American of the Year at the Bravo! Awards in Denver on March 7 — he has led efforts to open the museum in Pueblo in late spring. Pueblo Chieftain
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Pueblo's tourism industry gets a boost as the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce received $20,000 from the Colorado Tourism Office to develop a new plan to attract visitors to the county (including projects like the Pueblo Riverwalk, Leonardo da Vinci Museum and Waterworks Park). The chamber expects to unveil the plan by April next year. KOAA
