On Tuesday night, three Pueblo Police Officers and a suspect were shot — the suspect was reported dead, according to the Pueblo Police Department.

Pueblo Police said an officer-involved shooting occurred Tuesday evening in the Bessemer neighborhood — dozens of police cars responded near West Mesa and Cedar Street as roads were closed while investigators collected evidence, and it remains unclear if anyone was injured.

The Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority is preparing a proposal that requires abandoned property owners to submit a cleanup plan within 90 days—if no action is taken, city intervention will occur—to clear the way for new home construction.
