- ➤ Colorado Preservation Inc. will present the Koncilja family the 2026 Dana Crawford Award on May 14 at the Denver Art Museum for revitalizing Union Avenue Historic District by renovating 12 key properties and inspiring preservation in Pueblo. Pueblo Chieftain
- ➤ Photos from March 21 showed spring’s arrival in Pueblo with blooming trees on Union Avenue, dog walks at the Riverwalk (including Kiwi), and tubers floating on the Arkansas River at Pueblo Waterworks Park. The images capture the season’s vibrant start. Pueblo Chieftain

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Colorado Department of Transportation is set to resurface a section of Highway 50 from the county line of Pueblo and Fremont to Purcell Boulevard in Pueblo West starting April 6. Drivers should plan for lane and shoulder closures plus a 55 mph speed limit in the work zones. KKTV

- ➤ Pueblo pet owners are reminded by the Humane Society (HSPPR) that leaving pets in parked cars is dangerous as interiors can heat to unsafe levels in minutes. High temperatures are forecast over the next three days, so keep your best friend cool and safe. KKTV
