- ➤ Pueblo County faces a challenging fire season today due to unseasonably warm and dry conditions with over 100 red-flag warnings issued — officials urge residents to follow guidance on preventing sparks. Pueblo Chieftain
- ➤ Colorado Parks and Wildlife is starting its walleye spawning efforts at Pueblo Reservoir where biologists and volunteers collect fish eggs and milt for controlled fertilization. The daily process at the North Marina boathouse and Pueblo Hatchery helps sustain strong fisheries for anglers statewide. KKTV
- ➤ Firefighters battled a wildland fire in Huerfano County on Wednesday night after crews were alerted at 2:22 p.m. near County Road 122 (Ridge Road) southeast of Kiowa, with the blaze burning over 100 acres while local hotshots from Pueblo responded and advised the public to avoid the area. KKTV
- ➤ Pueblo broke March records when temperatures reached 93 degrees on March 21 and rose to 90 degrees on March 25, with meteorologists predicting that today the heat may break further records before easing next week. - ➤ Colorado Parks and Wildlife released a map on Wednesday that shows March collared gray wolf activity.
