CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On March 26 at 9:00 p.m., Pueblo police and the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office responded to a call on the 3700 block of Lake Ave where a man was struck by a vehicle, and on March 27 they located and arrested suspect Brandon Zullo, age 41—he faces charges for hit and run causing death and tampering with evidence. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Former CSU Pueblo President Timothy Mottet will deliver the commencement keynote on May 17 at the ThunderBowl, addressing about 600 graduates. Mottet led the university from 2017 to 2023 and oversaw major projects (such as the Center for Integrated Health and Human Inquiry) while managing pandemic challenges, and he will share advice and inspiration at the ceremony. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Colorado Parks and Wildlife continued walleye spawning at Lake Pueblo State Park on Thursday to prepare Pueblo Reservoir for a diverse fishery that will offer almost 15 fish species for anglers. Aquatic biologist Carrie Tucker said the process will help spread the eggs across the state to boost the quality of the fishing experience. KKTV

- ➤ Beginning Monday, March 31—Puebloans involved in minor traffic accidents will need to report them online using the state crash reporting website as Pueblo PD stops accepting in-person reports; more serious crashes and hit-and-run cases can still be reported by phone or at the PD lobby. - ➤ Pueblo's Frank Sagona broke his fifth Guinness World Record by completing 5,049 pull-ups in an 8-hour period (100 more than the previous record) and is waiting for Guinness to confirm two chin-up records set in February.
