On Monday, March 31, Black Hills Energy will host an energy assistance event in Pueblo—running from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Pueblo County Department of Human Services lobby at 320 W 10th St where residents can get help managing their energy usage if they bring a recent utility bill, proof of income and a valid ID.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife will be at the Pueblo Hunter Education Building from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4 to offer free turkey hunting tips from experts including Fretchen Holschuh, Bill Velarde and retired biologist Mark Elkins.
They will explain gear, decoy placement, laws and tactics — advice that can help improve hunts— and early sign-up is needed as only 35 seats are available with 21 still open.
