CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On April 1st at 2:04 a.m., Pueblo police responded to a report of an unconscious driver at 7th St. and Greenwood Ave and arrested Jordan Aldaz, 34 — previously featured on the Safe Streets Wanted list — after finding a stolen firearm, drug paraphernalia, and an active felony warrant in his possession. - ➤ The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding 14-year-old Aubrie Vogel who left her home near 25th Lane and East Highway 96 on Monday at 2 p.m. while wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black pants with white stripes, black and white Converse shoes and a black backpack; anyone with information should call (719)583-6250 and reference number 7952. One person died following a crash on the northeast side of Colorado Springs Tuesday. KOAA

- ➤ The Pueblo Police Department spent three years updating its work and was given its third CALEA accreditation last week in Garden Grove, California. The award makes it one of only 20 Colorado police agencies—meeting tough national rules for safe and fair law enforcement. City of Pueblo
- ➤ County commissioners approved the Pueblo Rail Station Area Plan that will bring passenger rail service back to the historic Pueblo Union Depot downtown while linking Pueblo to Denver. The plan calls for new platforms along the Arkansas River — a nearby station at the historic Baggage Depot will serve passengers once funding is secured. KOAA

- ➤ Colorado health officials said on Tuesday that an unvaccinated Pueblo resident who traveled to a measles outbreak area in Mexico tested positive for measles, the first case in 15 months. They warned that vitamin A is not a substitute for vaccination—using the MMR vaccine is essential to protect against the virus. KOAA
