- ➤ On April 7, Security firefighters rescued three children and two dogs from an underground storm drainage system, finding them about a half mile from the entrance—officials warning residents of the system's dangers. Colorado Parks and Wildlife is asking anyone who sees what may be a raccoon with mange to contact its Pueblo office—an effort to track sightings in the area. KOAA
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Pueblo County Coroner’s Office identified 44-year-old Joshua Adam Enzi, found dead on April 4 near northbound Interstate 25 and 29th Street, and Pueblo police are investigating his death—which they do not consider suspicious—as they await a toxicology report. Pueblo Chieftain
- ➤ Pueblo police are searching for a red 2015 Ford Escape with license QST-815 linked to an April 6 drive-by shooting that killed a 19-year-old man near the intersection of Hudson Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Bypass — officers have not made any arrests yet. Pueblo Chieftain
- ➤ An 18-year-old woman was arrested for street racing on Sunday when her car crashed into a home on Pueblo Boulevard around 12:20 a.m., causing significant property damage and serious injuries to a passenger. KKTV
- ➤ Andrew Martinez, a 19-year-old from Pueblo, was arrested on April 3 in Hyde Park on suspicion of first-degree murder after his 25-year-old brother was shot on West 21st Street — he is held on a $1 million cash-only bond and is set to appear in court today. Pueblo Chieftain
- ➤ On Tuesday, the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office asked residents to help identify a man linked to a theft at Walmart in Pueblo West—officials said he left the store with a woman already identified using a red SUV with a temporary tag. KKTV

- ➤ A few dozen students and staff from Chavez-Huerta Preparatory Academy protested outside District 60 Administration Building in Pueblo on Tuesday—demanding that the district release the school charter. KKTV
