- ➤ A Pueblo police officer returned home on Saturday, April 12 after nearly a month in the hospital from a March 18 shooting that injured two other officers and resulted in a suspect's death, and more than 100 people cheered as a special escort accompanied him down Main Street—marking his final homecoming after his colleagues had already been released. - ➤ An honor escort traveled along Main Street on April 12 to honor three Pueblo police officers wounded in a March 18 shooting, with community supporters lining the route as the officers recover. Pueblo Chieftain
- ➤ All three Pueblo police officers wounded in a March 18 ambush by suspect Billy Soto have returned home after an honor escort on Main Street on April 12 — the officers, who sustained head wounds, now continue their recovery. Pueblo Chieftain
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Attorney General Phil Weiser announced on April 11 that Cortland Management settled by agreeing to stop using RealPage’s rent-setting software that had resulted in higher rents. The company will now use other software with strict data restrictions and help Colorado in its ongoing lawsuit against RealPage. FOX21
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Realtor.com data showed that Pueblo County homes sold for a median price of $295,000 in January, down 1.6% from December’s $299,900—122 homes sold for a total of $38.3 million. Single-family homes fell 5.8% to a median of $282,500 while condominiums and townhomes rose 69.1% to $413,500 compared to December. Pueblo Chieftain
