  • Pueblo City Council voted 6-1 on April 13 to transfer Goodnight Barn (a 150-year-old landmark) to a local nonprofit that manages the site near the Arkansas River and west of the city. The move will reduce city costs and help the nonprofit secure restoration grants.  Pueblo Chieftain

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Since March, the Fountain Creek Watershed District has sold 180 rain barrels as residents prepare for potential water restrictions amid a dry winter. Homeowners hope collected water will protect their gardens & support native pollinators.  KOAA

  • San Isabel Electric has announced that over $465,000 in unclaimed capital credits are available for current and former members who update their contact information. People can claim the funds by filling out an online form or calling 800-279-SIEA (proof of identity required).  Pueblo Chieftain
