A high-profile case remains delayed in southern Colorado as victims of the Return to Nature funeral home in Penrose are still looking for answers after nearly 200 bodies were found in October 2023 with owner Jon Hallford set to be sentenced on federal and state charges and his wife Carie facing trial for federal charges while activist Crystina Page said many families question if the remains they received were of their loved ones.

A LendingTree study found that Colorado households spent an average of $9,721 on groceries in 2023—19% above the national average—making the state one of the costliest for food.
