- ➤ In 2024, Colorado reported 25% fewer auto thefts with 24,575 cases compared to 32,976 the year before and Pueblo recorded nearly 30% fewer thefts as local police credited Senate Bill 97 with making auto theft a tougher crime—though rates remain high compared to other states. Pueblo Chieftain
