ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Multiple agencies responded to the Poitry Fire in Kim’s district (Poitry Canyon) Friday night, with local crews and mutual aid units working to contain the blaze caused by griding work. KKTV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Pueblo District 60 will open Hyde Park Middle School on the west side this fall for sixth graders and later add seventh and eighth grades. Principal Stephanie Markert said the pre-collegiate campus will help students transition smoothly — preparing them for high school and even college-level work. KKTV

- ➤ A new survey shows that only 39% of tech is recycled while 22% is tossed in the trash, which is illegal in Colorado. Major retailers (such as Best Buy, Apple, and Amazon) offer free or incentive-based recycling, and experts advise erasing personal data before disposing of devices. KOAA
