- ➤ Pueblo Farmers Market returns on Saturday, May 2 at Mineral Palace Park with over 50 vendors including 30 new ones who will offer Colorado produce, meats, cheeses and baked goods. The market runs every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to noon through October and also includes several Eastside Pop-up Markets. Pueblo Chieftain
- ➤ Pueblo residents can clear out large items for free at the Team Up to Clean Up event on Saturday, May 6 at the Colorado State Fairgrounds and CSU Pueblo from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., while Waste Connections offers discount days at Southside Landfill from May 4 through May 16. Pueblo Chieftain

- ➤ Today, Pueblo County School District 70 announced that Moody’s raised its issuer rating to A1 and its bond rating to Aa3 after years of careful spending, strong reserves, and surplus budgets. - ➤ Federal lawmakers are considering the Hot Rotisserie Chicken Act to let Colorado SNAP recipients buy hot, ready-to-eat meals such as rotisserie chicken if passed. The proposal would give nearly 600,000 families a quicker option for a nutritious meal. KOAA
- ➤ Pueblo is seeking contractors for its free Minor Home Repair Program that helps low- to moderate-income homeowners with emergency repairs costing less than $10,000. The initiative has $250,000 in federal funding (with potential additional state support) as the city works to preserve its aging housing stock. KOAA
