GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Pueblo City Council approved $955,000 in CSAC funds for 33 nonprofits on April 27 to support agencies that requested nearly $2.4 million. The largest grants went to Posada, Mariposa Center for Safety, and the Boys & Girls Club of Pueblo County. Pueblo Chieftain
- ➤ The Colorado Department of Transportation will begin installing new backplates on 27 traffic signals in Pueblo County in the first week of May as part of a nearly $400,000 project to improve driver safety (targeting routes such as State Highway 45 and I-25 ramps) and is expected to complete mid-August. - ➤ The Army reversed plans to close the 4th Infantry Division Museum at Fort Carson after new guidance in the 2026 NDAA, keeping the military history exhibits open for visitors. Officials will review museum operations to guide any future plans. KOAA
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ In March, Pueblo County's median home listing increased slightly to $349,950 from $349,900 while homes averaged 1,751 sqft at $188 per sqft. New listings dropped to 254 from 288 a year ago — price per sqft rose 8% compared to March 2025. Pueblo Chieftain
