The Pueblo West Metropolitan District approved a 23-acre sale for a new King Soopers store set to open in September 2028.
The development will include a fueling station and retail pads and create over 250 jobs while boosting local tax revenue (including 150-200 store jobs).
Residents of Green Mountain Falls welcomed a rare May snowfall that will ease a dry winter as moisture helps restore parched ground and lower fire risks, though warmer temperatures near 80 degrees will quickly melt the wet snow and shorten its benefits.
The City of Pueblo Stormwater Utility plans to ease street flooding on the south-side by starting projects at Pueblo Central High School's baseball field, Arroyo Avenue and Summit Avenue with work expected to begin next April; the projects, costing over $25 million, will be funded by stormwater fees.
Pueblo D70 administration switched legal counsel for operations from Brad Miller’s firm to Boulder-based Caplan and Earnest after a May 5 board meeting, and Miller’s firm will continue as board counsel for policy matters.
The new services will be billed at hourly rates ranging from $275 to $325.
