- ➤ The Pueblo Zoo announced Wednesday that its Earth Day celebration has been rescheduled for today to coincide with its annual Mother's Day weekend event, offering free admission for moms and free Earth Day activities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will include guided tours, educational talks, seed ball crafting, a scavenger hunt and local organization partnerships—ensuring fun for all ages. - ➤ On May 8, the Bessemer Academy student council gave a $200 check and a jar of pickles to the Pueblo Police Department to help officers injured in a March shooting—funds that will be divided among the recovering officers. FOX21
- ➤ On Friday, high school students from Pueblo volunteered at City Park as part of the Mayor’s Youth Council cleanup, partnering with the Pueblo Parks Department—which provided gloves and trash bags—to collect garbage around the park, zoo, and nearby trails. KOAA

- ➤ CDOT announced Friday that crews with Martin Marietta finished resurfacing I-25 from mile point 92 to 102 near Eagleridge Boulevard in Pueblo. The new asphalt, along with rumble strips, guardrail, and roadway markers, will add about 10 years to the highway's life—providing a smoother ride and safer driving conditions. KKTV
