Today, Memorial Day services honor fallen servicemembers across southern Colorado.
The events include a 10 a.m. ceremony at Pikes Peak National Cemetery and a gathering in Pueblo at Veterans Bridge on the Pueblo Riverwalk from 11 a.m. to noon—featuring guest speakers and Gold Star families.

Senator Michael Bennett hosted a town hall at Pueblo East High School (May 25) where close to 100 voters shared their concerns about past policy decisions and his upcoming run for governor.
He announced his campaign in April (aiming to keep Colorado affordable), though some locals said he still must earn their vote.
On Saturday, Senator Michael Bennet met with residents at Pueblo East High School to answer questions on Medicaid, education funding, veteran benefits, and a reconciliation bill.
Some felt their concerns were addressed while others wanted more action—Bennet will hold additional town halls, including one at the University of Denver on Wednesday.
