Pueblo County deputies are urging residents to avoid part of Highway 50 north of Avondale after an overturned tanker truck sparked a hazmat incident; the highway is closed from Wheeler Lane to Avondale Boulevard and residents within a mile are told to shelter in place.

Pueblo South High School warned residents that someone falsely claiming to be a teacher is visiting homes and asking for donations.
