Workers in Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Greeley, Loveland, and Longmont will vote on joining the strike later—expanding the statewide action.
On Sunday, Safeway employees in Southern Colorado joined picket lines to protest what they called unfair labor practices.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is asking the community’s help to find 86-year-old Merilou Athens-Barnekow—last seen June 14 near 20900 Deputy Point in Midway driving her 2005 Silver Dodge Caravan with a Florida license plate CF6 7SD—she is described as having short light brown hair, hazel eyes, wearing a blue buttoned-up shirt with jean shorts and living with memory issues.
El Paso County deputies are searching for Emma Wilson, a 13-year-old girl who ran away from Pikes Peak Highway in Cascade at 1:30 p.m. wearing a brown hoodie, brown sweatpants, and a clear backpack (with pink trim) and who has ties to Pueblo; anyone with information is asked to call 719-390-5555.
