- ➤ On Thursday, Pueblo's donation-based yoga studio Cambio Yoga celebrated its 16th birthday and expanded its space and community support; the studio now offers about 80 classes weekly. KKTV
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A man without a life jacket drowned at Lake Pueblo State Park on June 19 after flipping off an inflatable tube near the south fishing area around 7 p.m., and CPW crews launched a grid search that recovered him at 1:30 a.m. on June 20 & he was pronounced dead by the Pueblo County Coroner. FOX21
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The 12th Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced a grand jury indictment charging Barry Morphew—alleged killer of his wife Suzanne Morphew—for first-degree murder in her 2020 death. He was taken into custody on June 20 in Arizona and will be extradited to Colorado. KOAA
- ➤ On June 14, a 48-year-old Pueblo man named Beau Burnett was arrested at the 'No Kings. Just Freedom' protest for allegedly striking protesters—he is charged with third-degree assault after his actions led to a disruption at the event. Pueblo Chieftain
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ With record-breaking heat expected this weekend, Colorado Parks and Wildlife and local environmental groups tell boaters and paddleboarders to clean, drain, and dry their gear — a step to stop invasive species from harming lakes and rivers. The advice comes after zebra mussels led to a lake drain and may help prevent future damage to water bodies. KOAA

- ➤ Boat rangers John Merson and Corey Felzien from Colorado Parks and Wildlife patrol Lake Pueblo State Park to check that boaters use life jackets— they plan to increase checks during busy times and may issue a $100 fine for children without one.
