Central High School's Class of 1959 awarded three 2025 graduates a total of $15,000 in scholarships after a thorough selection process as the winners plan to study business, neuroscience, or biomedical science at CSU Pueblo or in Fort Collins.
CSU Pueblo hosted a Summer Business Academy for 20 Pueblo D70 middle school graduates from June 6 to 13 and Pueblo D70 started a Summer Lunch Program offering free meals to children under 18 at five schools until late July — over 360 students recently graduated from Colorado Connections Academy, including several from Pueblo.
Joseph Perko, a union electrician and fourth-generation Puebloan, is running for City Council District 3 in 2025 while promising to clean up the city and support labor.
He will host his formal campaign launch on June 28 from 4 to 6 p.m.—at 113 Broadway Ave, residents in communities like Aberdeen, the Mesa Junction, Regency, and Sunset Park will hear his plans.
