ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Victory Chinwendu Osujii, 22, a Texas man, drowned on June 20 at Lake Pueblo State Park after flipping off an inflatable tube without a life jacket—officials recovered his body after a several-hour search and urged visitors to wear life jackets. Pueblo Chieftain
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Pueblo family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Ford alleging that a roof defect in Super Duty trucks from 1999 to 2016 caused Steven Horn’s death in a rollover accident on an Oklahoma highway in March — the suit claims Ford was aware of the issue long before Horn bought his truck and has declined to comment. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Monday night, Pueblo City Council considered annexing nearly 600 acres at Jackson Ranch off HWY 78 for new housing developments — a vote that included a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. for residents to voice their opinions and would require developers to secure proper zoning and plan an alternate route if HWY 78 is closed. - ➤ UCHealth said Parkview Home Care will close on Aug. 1 due to lower patient numbers and rising costs. Referrals ended on June 2—UCHealth will help all patients finish care and support the 22 employees in finding new jobs. FOX21
