CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Co-owner Jon Hallford, whose funeral home was linked to the discovery of nearly 190 decomposing bodies, is scheduled to be sentenced in federal court today after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud with 14 additional charges dismissed as part of a plea agreement. - ➤ Marvin Majors, a homeless man from Oklahoma, was identified by DNA after his mostly skeletal remains were found in a field near Walking Stick in November 2000, as detectives working with the FBI and CBI confirmed his identity through a genealogy match (bringing closure to his family after a 25 year investigation). - ➤ 32-year-old Jewelli Carillo died while in custody at the Pueblo County Jail after she was found unresponsive Tuesday afternoon - deputies and jail medical staff attempted life-saving measures as the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office investigates with no signs of foul play reported. KOAA

- ➤ The Pueblo Department of Public Health advised residents to protect themselves against West Nile Virus after mosquitoes in Larimer County tested positive—the first confirmed instance in the state this year.
