On Friday, emergency leaders updated on efforts to protect homes and businesses from the Aspen Acres Fire; they said roughly 11,000 were evacuated, the blaze was 200 yards (two football fields) from Bishop Castle, and mom and pop shops in Silvercliff and Westcliffe remained open.
