On Thursday, firefighters reported a 1% drop in containment as the Aspen Acres Fire spread just 91 acres overnight, while more than 1,800+ responders fought the blaze that burned 193 Pueblo County homes and lifted some Fremont County evacuations.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife released a cinnamon bear near Pueblo Thursday after crews captured the 1-year-old animal (90 lbs) on La Vista Road, administering a wake-up drug before moving it to a better habitat two and a half hours south of town.
