Firefighters report the Aspen Acres Fire reached 34% containment on July 11 and Pueblo County lifted evacuations for over 900 southern addresses.

Crews continue expanding dozer line construction & targeting hot spots as weather and rugged terrain challenge further progress.

As of Sunday, firefighters had contained 35% of the Aspen Acres Fire that burned nearly 100k acres & destroyed 850 structures in Pueblo and Custer counties.

Evacuations for 900 Pueblo addresses are lifted, and Beulah re-entry begins Monday at 8 a.m. if conditions hold.

Evacuees from the Aspen Acres fire can return today under a phased reentry plan that assigns times for different streets; residents must show a card from the Disaster Assistance Center at 29 Leigh Ave + fire personnel will escort them to their homes.
