CRIME NEWS
- ➤ License plate recognition cameras in El Paso County captured a stolen 2005 Dodge Dakota near Fountain at 11 p.m. on Sunday, July 13 and deputies, in coordination with Fountain Police, arrested four occupants on charges of vehicle theft and drug offenses—narcotics and drug paraphernalia were seized from the truck. - ➤ The Academy of Children’s Theatre is accepting new students ages 4 to 18 for summer classes where they learn dance, vocal, and acting skills and get stage performance opportunities; it also offers year-round classes for continued practice. FOX21

- ➤ Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser is asking the University of Colorado Board of Regents to reverse its July 2 censure of Regent Wanda James for breaking board rules. He said the censure may hurt free speech and fair treatment—issues the board should rethink. KOAA
