Fisher House Foundation CEO Ken Fisher told 11 News on July 15th that families of Warrior Games athletes in southern Colorado play a key role in supporting their loved ones — their ongoing care fuels the athletes’ successes.
He said their sacrifices deserve recognition for the strength they bring to the community.
Mineral Palace Park hosted the third annual Pueblo Hip Hop Festival on Saturday—music, breakdancing competitions, rapper battles and local vendor booths filled the park as people enjoyed the cultural event.
Mad Fresh Productions said the festival aimed to unite the community and bring a fresh energy to Pueblo.
Pueblo’s outdoor basketball courts known as The Slab will host a grand reopening ceremony on July 31 at 1 p.m. after a $500k Colorado Lottery-funded renovation improved the courts with new surfaces, LED lights and hoops — the event will feature a ribbon cutting, contests and a first shot ceremony to mark the refreshed facility.
