- ➤ The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help to locate five suspects involved in shoplifting at Walgreens in Pueblo West — officials noted a dark-colored Nissan Rogue may be linked to the crime — and anyone with information should contact the sheriff's office immediately. - ➤ On July 17, Pueblo police responded to a burglary on the 1700 block of Joliet Ave and later charged 26-year-old Cruz Alarcon with second-degree assault + felony menacing after he used excessive force in a citizen’s arrest that left 21-year-old suspect Joseph Mares bound with duct tape and with minor injuries. - ➤ State health officials from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment—confirming an adult from Lafayette died from West Nile virus as the first death this year—said that the Pueblo health department reported a resident hospitalized today and nine other cases have been confirmed across eight counties.
