  • Local firefighters and community members mourn the unexpected loss of Deputy Chief Keith Novak—who served 30 years and was named Deputy Chief in February 2022. The fire department is offering support services as it prepares to share details for memorial services.  KKTV
  • County Clerk and Recorder Candace Rivera will launch the Kayleigh Morgan Project on Aug. 1 to provide free digital storage of essential documents for homeless residents and those in need. The program—developed in partnership with Pueblo Housing Authority, County Department of Human Services, and Pueblo Community Soup Kitchen—will help residents apply for housing, school enrollment, and other vital services without cost.  Pueblo Chieftain

  • Police are investigating after an adult man died from a gunshot wound Monday morning on the 600 block of Arroyo Avenue—west of I-25—with detectives saying they believe the incident is isolated and that there is no danger to the public.  KKTV
  • Pueblo County deputies are warning residents of a Bitcoin ATM scam where a suspect impersonates a bank official and pressures victims to pay after claiming child pornography was found on their computer—officials stress that no real bank would call to request money and urge anyone receiving such calls to hang up and verify with their bank immediately.  KKTV
