Pueblo Latino Veterans Association will honor five veterans at its Legacies of Courage Awards Ceremony at the Pueblo Convention Center on Oct.
10 — a social will begin at 5 p.m. and the program will start at 5:30 p.m., with tickets available for $50 at the Pueblo Memorial Hall box office.
🚧 Accidents
Pueblo firefighters responded to a structure fire on the north side Sunday evening—rescuing seven puppies and a pet rat while also noting that two adult dogs and one puppy died—and transferred the rescued animals to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife urges Pueblo County residents to secure trash and avoid attracting displaced wildlife following the Aspen Acres Fire early today.
The agency warned that bears and other animals may wander into homes as they search for food.
