- ➤ The Wings of Pride Airshow is set for September 27 and 28 in Pueblo where local fans can buy tickets now to see the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds headline the first air show in nearly 20 years — the event starts at 9 a.m. each day at Pueblo Memorial Airport. FOX21
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ David Frank Martinez, accused of killing one woman and injuring another at Veteran’s Tavern on June 28, 2024, is heading back to trial after Monday’s mistrial—his bail remains at $1 million despite defense efforts to reduce it. KKTV
- ➤ A 52-year-old Pueblo man (Dominick Jesus Salazar) was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison after being convicted for dealing methamphetamine and possessing a loaded firearm following his arrest outside the former Rodeway Inn in May 2023 (police discovered 184 grams of meth and 82 fentanyl pills in his motel room). - ➤ Between July 23 and July 30, 2025, Pueblo Police IMPACT Unit detectives made seven arrests in two non-fatal shooting cases — including charges of attempted homicide and aggravated robbery — while one 16-year-old suspect remains at large. City of Pueblo
- ➤ Colorado Springs police arrested a 20-year-old man early Sunday after he broke into a home on Zebulon Drive and was found sleeping in the victim’s bed—he is also accused of breaking out of a police cruiser and assaulting an officer. KOAA

- ➤ Parents in Pueblo face sticker shock as they spend over $600 per student on back-to-school supplies, and experts warn that rising tariffs—set to hit Aug. 7—and inflation may push prices for items like clothing and shoes up by as much as 40% in the coming months. KOAA

- ➤ Pueblo County now offers a monthly payment option for property taxes—residents with fully owned properties can open an escrow taxes account to spread their payments instead of paying one or two times a year. El Paso County started a similar option about a month ago. KOAA
