Colorado Parks and Wildlife is asking anglers to avoid fishing on the Arkansas River from Pueblo Boulevard east to Fountain Creek from noon until midnight each day due to low water and high temperatures harming trout.
Officials advise early morning fishing and may enforce the closure if conditions worsen.

Fly Pueblo posted on social media on Thursday that the US Air Force E-4B (known as the Doomsday Plane) performed touch and go patterns at Pueblo Memorial Airport; the aircraft was also seen over Colorado Springs in March.
