The Pueblo West Metro District board voted unanimously on Aug.

13 to waive the water resource requirement for American Dirt Contractors, which is building a materials recycling facility on a 6-acre lot at E. Industrial Blvd. The board set a cap of 8,000 gallons a month—this limit will follow the property if sold.

On Wednesday at 8:13 a.m., Pueblo Police arrested 23-year-old Ryan Childers-Pierce for attempting to rob a woman at the 800 block of Desert Flower Boulevard—police later found him near Blueflax Drive with a bag holding the handgun and clothing used during the incident, and his bond is set at $50,200.

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help identifying a man linked to a theft at Circle K on Santa Fe Avenue in Blende—if anyone has information, they are urged to call the department.

Key witnesses testified on Friday in Pueblo in the trial of Corena Minjarez, who is accused of killing two kids and hiding their bodies.
