🎓 Education
New free full-day preschools will open in Pueblo School District 60 at the old Bradford Elementary School (on the east side) with classes starting Wednesday, while Heritage Elementary near the Colorado State Fairgrounds will also offer preschool to boost early learning.
CSU Pueblo has received a $1.25 million grant from the Reisher Scholars Program at Denver Foundation to support student initiatives over the next two years.
🌲 Environment
Colorado Parks and Wildlife is increasing outreach efforts to help residents stay safe amid record bear activity.
The agency is working with local communities to share tips on preventing close encounters with the animals.
🏥 Health
UCHealth Parkview earned six AHA awards (for stroke, heart failure and resuscitation) and appeared on the AHA Honor Roll (reflecting its focus on heart care).
