If enough verified signatures are gathered in 60 days, the recall election will be scheduled to decide Cotter’s future in office.

This week, Pueblo City Council approved an application to turn the nearly 100-year-old City Park Bathhouse into a historical landmark, but it must still pass review by the Historical Preservation Commission—Friends of City Park are trying again after last year’s veto and plan to seek grant money for repairs once the building is preserved.

Pueblo voters will decide in November whether to keep a strong mayor system or switch to a city council—city manager form after the city council approved a ballot question by a six—to—one vote.

Mayor Heather Graham said personal conflicts and issues with Councilman Roger Gomez are behind the move and she will hold town halls in all four districts in September to oppose the change.
