Governor Polis said that the state fair will stay in Pueblo as investments improve the fairgrounds and add events like drone shows (Stories in the Sky) and a traveling museum truck.
The fair, held since 1872 and highlighting community and family traditions, continues for the foreseeable future.
🚧 Accidents
Pueblo County officials reported that the Aspen Acres fire caused nearly 300 homes to be lost and $70 million in damage (flooding recovery in Beulah Valley may take years).

Colorado Governor Jared Polis announced a 'Governor for a day' contest for seventh- and eighth-graders; students must submit a form + a video by Monday, Sept.
7 with the winner being announced on Monday, Sept. 14.
