United Way of Pueblo County is seeking adults 18 and older to mentor middle school students by spending over one hour each week at the students' schools — Diego Rivera said the organization values honesty and consistent care.
This mentoring program offers a chance to make a positive impact in the lives of local youth.
Wings of Pride air show will be held at Pueblo Memorial Airport on Sept.
27 and Sept. 28 and will feature the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds—performing for the first time in three decades—along with the U.S. Army Golden Knights and other aerial acts while visitors must buy tickets and parking passes online before the event. The show will also offer ground displays showcasing military and civilian aircraft.

At the Pueblo Chile & Frijoles Festival on Sept 19, three local eateries—Pass Key Restaurant, Double D's BBQ Shack and Gramp's Kitchen and Catering—won first place in the Chili and Salsa Showdown for their green chile, red chile, and salsa.
They received cash prizes, Super Bowl-style rings, and community bragging rights from a panel of 10 judges who blind-tasted 50 commercial and 110 non-commercial entries.
