- ➤ A Southern Colorado family said goodbye to their infant 13 years after her death during a private memorial service—relatives and close friends gathered to honor her memory. KKTV
- ➤ Families can buy pumpkins, pick fall flowers, ride a hayride, and follow a spooky trail at the historic Venetucci Pumpkin Patch festival held every weekend in October. Adults also enjoy a booze bar—adding a unique twist to this ongoing fall celebration. KKTV
- ➤ Colorado Parks and Wildlife will host a free Pumpkin Hike at Mueller State Park on October 17 at 6 p.m. where visitors will walk the Wapiti Trail to see carved pumpkins, enjoy fun activities, and vote for their favorite jack-o-lantern + community members may drop off pumpkins at the Visitor Center starting today until October 17 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., and visitors must have a $10 park pass per vehicle. - ➤ Pueblo Zoo will host two Halloween events this fall—members will enjoy BooBonus on Oct. 24th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a scavenger hunt, treat bag, and spooky activities while the public can join ZooBoo on Oct. 25th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for trick-or-treating, crafts, and costume contests; ticket prices vary by age and event and safety measures are in place. - ➤ Colorado Parks and Wildlife is offering refunds for mule deer muzzleloader season hunting licenses because the government shutdown continues—refunds will be processed as more details become available. KKTV
