New data from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment shows that 15% of eligible residents received a flu shot by October 22 while only 7% got a COVID-19 vaccine—Pueblo County reported a 4.6% COVID-19 immunization rate compared to about 13% for flu shots.

State Epidemiologist Dr. Rachel Herlihy said delays in vaccine guidance likely slowed COVID-19 shots, especially among young children.
