ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Colorado Springs is preparing its urban forest for the emerald ash borer by planning to remove ash trees from its approved street tree list next year—one in five public trees is ash. GOVERNMENT NEWS

HEALTH NEWS

  • A southern Colorado mother told 11 News that Down Syndrome Awareness Month gives her family a chance to emphasize acceptance and inclusion — her discussion highlighted personal experiences that shape how they observe the month.  KKTV

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Residents are advised to remove leaves from cars to prevent long-term damage as decomposing leaves release chemicals that can thin paint and clog cooling systems—leaves left in winter may even lead to mold in the cabin.
