- ➤ The United Way of Pueblo County has started an emergency fund to help families hit by the government shutdown. Donations will go to agencies including SNAP that serves over 40,000 residents — nearly 14,000 of whom are children. KOAA

- ➤ FOX21 News teamed with Colorado Business Forum to highlight the 18th Annual Veterans Conference—an inspiring event for veterans transitioning into business—while Dirk Hobbs explained the conference will boost opportunities for military service members to build their futures in Southern Colorado. - ➤ Seven candidates are running for two open seats on the Pueblo School District 60 Board as voters prepare for the 2025 election. The board handles school planning and finance and candidates represent diverse backgrounds in education + law and mental health care. Pueblo Chieftain
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Tomorrow, Nov 5 the Pueblo Department of Public Health & Environment will close its office at 101 West 9th Street for active shooter training and will have more first responders nearby. The office will reopen on Nov 6 at 8 a.m. & resume regular services. FOX21

- ➤ The Broncos beat the Texans 18-15 in a game that saw the Broncos score in the second quarter and then secure a win with a last minute field goal—both teams struggled on third down conversions—while the Texans never reached the end zone. KKTV
- ➤ CHSAA football playoffs will kick off on Friday, Nov. 7 with many local Southern Colorado teams competing & local fans anticipating intense matchups.
