- ➤ The Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce received $20,833 from the Colorado Tourism Office to fund its 250/150 digital passport campaign that will market Pueblo’s heritage and culture ahead of Colorado’s 150th anniversary next year—this effort aims to boost local tourism by highlighting the city’s history and events. - ➤ On Tuesday, Nov. 25, the Cordova family organized Pueblo’s second annual turkey giveaway near the Harley Davidson Outpost and distributed more than 400 turkeys to families in need. Volunteers helped at the event (one volunteer donated 100 turkeys) and leftover turkeys will be given to the local food bank (in honor of their son Isaiah). FOX21
- ➤ Fourteen Fort Carson volunteers are partnering with a Colorado Springs charity to prepare 2,500 Thanksgiving meals at the Fort Carson Culinary Academy kitchens. The meals include 300 turkeys, eight cases of green beans, seven cases of mashed potatoes and six cases of stuffing and will be packaged until Thanksgiving morning — then delivered in Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, Fountain and Yuma. - ➤ On Nov. 24, Pueblo City Council approved a $50,000 payment from ARPA interest funds to Pueblo Cooperative Care to help feed SNAP recipients affected by the federal shutdown. The nonprofit, which served over 4,300 people in September, will use the funds to buy food and replenish its meat supply—supporting nearly 10% of Pueblo County SNAP households. Pueblo Chieftain

- ➤ The Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce is urging residents to shop local on Small Business Saturday to aid neighborhood businesses recovering from a government shutdown and growing online competition—local spots like Shamrock Brewing Co and Pueblo Puzzleworks rely on community support to stay open. - ➤ Swisspod's Aerys 1 hyperloop capsule reached 65 miles per hour on Nov.21 at PuebloPlex, drawing over 100 spectators during its Hyperloop Day test. The company will begin cargo transport in five years and plans to carry passengers within a decade pending regulatory approval, with local and federal officials voicing support. Pueblo Chieftain

- ➤ In October, data from Realtor.com showed that Pueblo County’s median home listing was $351,363, down slightly from $352,500 the previous month and marking a 3.3% drop since October 2024. The listings averaged 1,827 square feet at $185 per square foot with homes on the market for a median of 91 days (87 days the previous month) as 198 new listings were recorded, a 32.7% decrease from October 2024.
